Type of Riders
The Cherry Pie Hill Challenge is open to all level riders. Riders will create their own challenge by calling out a rider of their choice. Riders can ride as fast or slow as they want and only THEY* can determine the winner of their challenge. Participation in the endurance portion of the Cherry Pie Hill Challenge is optional. The ride is a partially supported ride, with one stop midway through the endurance ride.
Paired riders will receive numbers that will correspond to a starting order. Each contest will line up at the bottom of Cherry Pie Hill. Starting line will be managed by a Start Marshall. Start Marshall will confirm both riders are ready to begin their contest allowing sufficient time for prior pair to engage the climb. Multiple challenges will be on the hill at the same time and riders could overtake a prior group.
If both contestants agree to a staggered start, time or distance, or any other variances from a standard contest, the Start Marshall will confirm agreement then release riders.
